This is the moment two teenagers drink from juice bottles in a Singaporean supermarket in a video that was tagged to highlight irresponsible behaviour despite the coronavirus outbreak in the region.

In the footage, a teenager is seen taking a juice product from the supermarket shelf before taking a large swig as his pal films him.

He then grimaces and seals the bottle before returning it to the shelf.

As a staff member walks nearby, the boy opens another bottle and samples it while his friend is heard sniggering in the background.

However, the two people in the video later complained that they were misrepresented after saying they had actually paid for the drink, and only pretended to put it back on the shelf as a joke between friends. They said it had not been intended that the video be made public, and were not prepared for the fact that it then went viral.

The incident was reportedly filmed in a Singaporean supermarket, and the footage was later widely shared on social media with the caption: “How to spread Wuhan.”

The Twitter user who reposted it admitted the video was downloaded from another social network and said they had decided to repost it with the coronavirus reference because they wanted to highlight the teenagers’ irresponsible action.

The people in the video underlined that the video was meant as a personal joke between friends and was not intended to be used by someone else to try and make a viral statement.
