This is the moment two schoolboys fight in the playground with one of the teenagers putting the other in a chokehold so he can repeatedly punch him.

The video was recorded at the APDE (Asociacion Para el Desarrollo Educativo) ‘El Roble’ school in the Guatemalan capital Guatemala City in the department of the same name.

The footage which has been wildly shared on social media shows how the fight starts when one student slaps another in his face.

Then the two boys are seen fighting violently while a group of pupils cheer and watch on.

At one point one of the teenagers pulls the other to the floor and puts him in a choke lock while the other boy seems to have difficulties to breathe as he taps his opponent on his arm, but the other boy does not release him and continues his vicious attack.

The names of the schoolboys have not been reported and it is unclear if they were injured during the fight.

The school wrote in a statement published on social media: “We are deeply sorry for the incident that happened today with two students engaging in an unacceptable situation in which they fought after a verbal argument in front of their classmates.

They also added: “We have taken the disciplinary measures that are needed in these cases according to our conduct rules.”

They said the video had been filmed and shared online by a pupil also in the playground.

It is unclear what punishment the boys were given.
