This is the moment a teenager is left seriously injured after cycling down the steps of a footbridge while filming a TikTok video and accidentally flipping over the handlebars.
The incident took place in the neighbourhood of Zeytinburnu in the European side of the Turkish city of Istanbul last week.
Rohullah Dinger, from Uzbekistan, met with a friend at the footbridge at around 7pm to shoot a video for his TikTok account.
The 18-year-old daredevil was trying to cycle down the steps of the footbridge as his pal filmed when he lost control and flipped over the handlebars.
The teen reportedly smacked his head hard on the tarmac and was left seriously injured.
His friend and other onlookers immediately called the emergency services and the police and paramedics arrived on the scene.
The seriously-injured teen was taken to the Bakirkoy Dr Sadi Konuk Training & Research Hospital in Istanbul for emergency treatment.
Meanwhile, the police took statements from onlookers, including Dinger’s friend who was filming the stunt, and have opened an investigation into the accident.
There have been no further updates on Dinger’s condition as the police probe continues.
