This is the moment a teenage girl walking underneath a construction site is knocked off her feet by bricks falling from the fourth floor.

The startling images were taken by a CCTV camera in the Pamukkale district of Denizli Province in Turkey.

In the video, 19-year-old Busra Yasar can be seen walking down the pavement next to a friend.

A pile of bricks then suddenly falls directly onto Yasar from above, sending her crashing to the ground in a heap.

He gets to her knees before onlookers rush to her aid and help take her away from where the bricks fell.

Local media report the bricks had fallen from the roof of the fourth floor of a construction site after an alleged mistake from a worker named as A.N., who is reportedly of Afghani origin.

Yasar was taken to Pamukkale University Hospital where she received treatment. Her condition is described as stable but she remains under observation into the hospital.

A.N. was detained and reports state he is currently undergoing legal procedures. It is unclear if he has been charged with a crime.
