A 14-year-old boy shot dead while he was getting a pizza is believed to have been killed by an assassin in a bungled revenge killing.

Police believe the killer may have been trying to avenge the death of another teen – 17-year-old Jalal Amash – who was gunned down in a nearby grocery store last month.

Investigators believe that the man who shot Amash had been hiding in a building close to where Walid was shot, reported local media.

No suspects have been arrested for the killing, according to local media.

The tragic news comes after at least 84 Israeli Arabs were killed in the country this year, according to reports.

The town of Jisr az-Zarqa is the only Arab-majority community found on Israel’s Mediterranean Sea coast.

Despite the fact that the quaint coastal town boasts crystalline waters, 80 per cent of local residents were reported to live in poverty in 2016, a shocking statistic when compared to a national average of just 2.70 per cent in the same year.
