This teenage girl whose boyfriend shared this image online of a heart made of bullets with a message reading “this heart is yours” and “don’t let me down or you’ll get these” has been found stabbed to death.

Victim Flor Chavez Rojas, 19, was found bleeding profusely from stab wounds by her aunt in her home in the Puente Piedra district, in the Peruvian capital Lima.

The victim’s aunt Cecilia Roja told local media: “I was about to go to the bed when a neighbour knocked on the door and told me that my niece was bleeding”.

She found the teenager in the room she reportedly shared with her boyfriend Jairo Romero Lozano, 24.

The victim was taken to the Carlos Lanfranco La Hoz Hospital but she later died from her injuries.

Her boyfriend Lozano had reportedly fled the scene half-naked and was later arrested at the Pan-American Highway.

Jorge Castillo, the head of the Police of Norte 1, told local media that the suspect had acted under the effects of alcohol and out of jealousy without providing further details.

The suspect had previously shared a picture on social media showing a gun with bullets forming a heart shape. The message reads: “This heart is yours but if you let me down they (the bullets) will all be for you”.

Another of the victim’s aunts, Ersila Rojas, said: “We need support, we want justice and we want him to get what he deserves.”

Local media report the victim’s family had not been introduced to her boyfriend and did not know him.

The suspect was taken to a police station but it is unclear if he has been charged.
