Teen Girl Scalped In High School Fight

This is the moment two schoolgirls tug at each other’s hair on the floor of a classroom in a fight which left one of the girls hospitalised after part of her scalp was ripped off.

The incident took place at Secondary School Number 164 in the city of Ciudad Madero, in the northern Mexican state of Tamaulipas and was recorded by other pupils.

According to the girls’ parents, the students, named Melany and Valeria, started fighting inside a classroom after having an argument. The teacher should have been in the classroom at the time but was not.

In the video, the two classmates can be seen fighting on the floor as other pupils try to separate them.

One of the girls is tightly gripping the other girl’s hair and the onlookers cannot wrestle her away. Other onlooking students can be heard laughing during the fight.

Valeria had to be hospitalised due to the injuries she suffered in the fight and local media report par of her scalp was removed in the incident.

Her parents reported the case to the authorities and the other student, Melany, was suspended by the school authorities.

Reports state Valeria was later discharged from hospital after being treated for her injuries.

The other students who encouraged the fight and the teacher who should have been in the classroom were reprimanded too, local media report. Their punishment is unclear.
