Prosecutors say this teen bully could face up to five years in prison for beating up this 13-year-old schoolgirl who is half her size.
The footage was shot by a gang of laughing teenagers in the city of Izium, which is in eastern Ukraine’s Kharkiv Oblast region.
The 16-year-old girl, who was not named, ganged up on the 13-year-old on the 12th of September after school when it was already getting dark, and then slaps her head left and then twice to the right, before shoving her to the ground and then slapping her again.
She then grabs her hair and pulls her to her feet, dragging her and then hitting her again before the attack moves off camera. All the time, the others can be heard laughing as if they are enjoying the spectacle.
One of the laughing youngsters asks the 16-year-old why she is carrying out the attack, but gets no reply as the older girl continues the attack, and none of those present felt it was necessary to step in and intervene.
Police confirmed that a case had been filed as a Pre-Trial Investigations under Part 1 of Art. 296 (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
In a statement sent to Central European News (CEN), they confirmed that the punishment of the teenage girl could be up to five years in detention.
At the moment though the investigation is continuing and the circumstances surrounding the attack are being looked at. None of the names of those involved were made public by police.
