This is the moment a schoolboy is grabbed by his shirt collar and thrown from his chair by a teacher who believes he is looking at him disrespectfully.

The primary school pupil, aged 11, had been caught talking moments earlier and was sulking in his seat after being scolded by the disciplinarian teacher, surnamed Tian, who has been sacked by Longcheng Bilingual Experimental School in the county of Yangqu in North China’s Shanxi Province.

CCTV images dated 24th May show Tian then walking over to the boy and yanking him out of his chair, throwing him to the floor with a loud clank as he hits a dustbin and other nearby objects.

The boy begins crying and holds his head as he is pushed to the front of the class, with the teacher shoving him to the floor a second time before then kicking him out the room.

The crying boy, who sustained a cut to his head above his left ear, can be heard saying: “I didn’t do anything!”

The teacher replies: “What do you mean you didn’t do anything? Your attitude….”

The boy’s injuries were assessed at a local hospital and his parents are demanding 200,000 RMB (22,890 GBP) in compensation from the school over the incident.

The boy told local media: “I put my hand up and admitted to talking [in class]. He scolded me, so I put head down and started flipping through my textbook.

“Then I looked up at him and he thought I was side-eyeing him, so he came over and pulled me up [from my chair].”

School, which is under investigation by the local education authority, said the parents would need to go through legal means in the matter over compensation.

Yangqu police announced on 23rd June that the teacher had already been sacked by the school, and he was sentenced to 10 days of administrative detention.

The teacher has also been ordered to pay a fine of 500 RMB (57 GBP), but may face further punishment from education officials for misconduct.
