Pic shows: Python Rock; This viral video shows a group of climbers breaking the law to scale a stunning 400-foot rock formation in China just hours before being arrested for their offence. The hikers had been visiting the Sanqing Mountain scenic area in Yushan County, in East China’s Jiangxi Province, and even flew a drone from the 128-metre (419-foot) peak to show off. The clip shows them using expert climbing equipment to reach the top of the beautiful and sacred geological formation known as "Python Rock" - because of the way it protrudes from the earth like a snake. Python Rock stands at 1,200 metres (3,937 feet) above sea level, but the authorities have forbidden tourists from climbing it because the sheer rock face means they are unable to guarantee climber safety. In addition, the rock is part of a nature heritage site, making climbing it off limits. After staff at the national park spotted the three daredevils - two men and a woman - they called the police who quickly arrived to arrest them. The trio were called back onto the ground and taken away, which included using electrical drills, screws and ropes to deface and climb the rock. Taking drone footage of their successful attempt was also viewed as insulting to the authorities guarding the famous rock. The police said the unnamed trio have been sentenced to seven days behind bars.
