Pics shows: Arkady Babchenko comment about British media; The 'murdered' Ukrainian journalist critical of the Kremlin who faked his death in order to help cops catch an assassin has told the British media to "go f*ck themselves" over criticism of the stunt. Arkady Babchenko, 41, who shocked people when he turned up at a press conference still alive, after earlier reports of his death at the hands of a Kremlin-backed assassin, posted the statement on his Facebook page. He said: "The British media is questioning whether there is really more harm than good that came from what I did? Dear British press, would you please go and f*ck yourselves? If you want to do something useful however, you can give me a British passport and British protection. Then you will have the right to teach me how I should save myself and my family. F*cking smart-a*ses!" A considerable portion of the British media warned that the stunt might have done more harm than good, including Lindsey Hilsum, the international editor for Channel 4 News, who tweeted: "So now every time a journalist is murdered, those responsible will unleash their bots and propagandists to say it’s fake news. "Thanks, Ukrainian security services. That’s really helpful to all who care about journalists’ safety." Leonid Ragozin, a former BBC and Russian Newsweek journalist, tweeted: "Babchenko’s death turns out to be fake news of the century. "A mindless and tragic mistreatment of public empathy that discredits so many things at once – Ukraine, Russian liberals, journalists. Only Kremlin wins." Sun journalist John Lucas added: "This will be a massive propaganda boost for Putin and his supporters and doesn’t do much to help journos also facing threats." The row follows on from claims now known to be false that Russian anti-Putin journalist Arkady Babchenko had been shot in the back by an unidentified killer at his home in Kiev one year after fleeing Russia over concerns for his safety. Babchenko, 41, was a

Pic Shows: The kitten caught between the tyre and bodywork of the car; This is the tiny kitten which has been rescued after getting stuck in a car's engine compartment for a 120-mile drive. The little kitten from Passau, a city on the Austrian border in the south-eastern German state of Bavaria, managed to somehow sneak into the engine compartment of an Audi A4. Without knowing about their stowaway passenger dangerously stuck between the engine, bodywork and one of the tyres, the young couple from Passau drove their Audi 120 miles over the motorway to the Bavarian capital of Munich. When the couple returned to their car parked in a Munich street, some neighbours alerted them that cat noises were heard coming from the car. As the couple did not manage to locate the animal, they called the fire brigade out of precaution. A fire brigade spokesman said: "After the firefighters loosened some parts of the car, the little passenger made its way into the open air." Even though the cat was finally freed, it did sustain some injuries from the drive. The fire brigade spokesman said: "On the spot, those present recognised that the eight to twelve-week-old cat had an injury to its left hind leg. "At the shelter, the veterinarian then noticed a fracture to the injured leg." According to Judith Brettmeister of the Munich shelter, the kitten also broke its tail. The kitten underwent surgery where to repair the fractured leg and had its broken tail amputated. It is reportedly recovering well from its injuries. It is not known if the kitten was a stray cat or if it went missing from its owner in Passau.

Pic shows: Adrienne in her German police uniform Germany's hottest cop has been given an ultimatum by police bosses unhappy about her frequent bikini snaps on social media. Adrienne Koleszar, a 34-year-old police officer who keeps the streets of Dresden in the eastern German state of Saxony safe, has 557,000 followers on Instagram. The hot cop likes to share saucy snaps of her well-trained body in gym wear and skimpy bikinis while holidaying herself in sun-kissed locations. Koleszar, who weighs 65 kilogrammes (10.2 stone), and is 1.73 metres (5 feet 6 inches) tall has also been bombarded with praise from fans who would love to get arrested by the blonde belter. However, she has been given an ultimatum by police bosses who are growing increasingly unhappy with her online exploits. Koleszar, a police commissioner who earns a salary of 2,700 EUR (2,405 GBP) a month, has been summoned to see police chief Horst Kretzschmar. According to local media, she has taken six months of unpaid leave from her police work already this year. Kretzschmar wants to know whether the commissioner will dedicate as much time to solving crimes as she does to becoming an Instagram-model and influencer. The state of Saxony is currently looking to hire 1,000 new cops and police chiefs need Koleszar focused on her job due to personnel shortages. According to reports, Kretzschmar gave the 34-year-old an ultimatum which she has to decide on before Monday – does her future lie with law enforcement or as a model. Adrienne said: "I would gladly do both, but life isn't always a bowl of cherries." A police spokesman said that "Ms Koleszar has not yet made a decision about her future with the police".
