Pic shows: This is the moment a driver reversing away from a crossroads after running a red light accidentally slams into two pedestrians crossing the street behind him. The clueless motorist from the city of Changchun, capital of north-eastern China’s Jilin Province, unwittingly sped through the junction but stopped in the centre after realising he had ignored the traffic lights. According to reports, he then began reversing his car, presumably to avoid any traffic fines that might come his way, and he was filmed by a nearby female driver as he tried to stop behind the zebra crossing as he should have done in the first place. However, the motorist fails to notice the two women walking on the zebra crossing directly behind him, and the video shows his Infiniti Q50 crashing into the back of the victims. Both women are sent flying into the street as the short clip ends. Reports said the incident happened at the crossroads of Guigu Street and Feiyu Road. Authorities have refused to release details about the persons involved but said they were currently investigating the accident. The two pedestrians are not believed to have been seriously injured.

Pic shows: The man kicking the cat down This viral video with nearly three million views shows a man kicking a sunbathing cat down an embankment into a river. The incident was captured by CCTV cameras in Shantou’s Chenghai District in South China’s Guangdong Province. The footage viewed just shy of three million times on China’s Twitter-like microblogging platform Sina Weibo shows the unnamed man coming across the animal as it lies sunbathing underneath a stone barrier. The man stares at the cat for a few moments before kicking it with his left foot, causing the feline to roll off the pavement and down the embankment into the water. The culprit then walks away, even appearing to be smirking as he does so. The cat rolled into the river but was fortunately able to free itself thanks to the sloped embankment. The video shows it sprinting back up and running out of camera shot, leaving a trail of water behind it. It is unclear at the time of writing whether the cat had an owner. Social media users have left hundreds of comments criticising the man’s actions, which have been described as "vile". ‘Daimeng Xinxin’ wrote: "I’d love to give him a kick into the river." ‘Daoyuyue’ added: "Real men don’t abuse animals or women."

Pic Shows: The couple fighting in the middle of the motorway tunnel; CCTV cameras have captured the moment a young woman risks her life by repeatedly throwing herself on the ground in front of cars in a motorway tunnel while fighting with her boyfriend. Footage released by authorities in China’s south-western Chongqing Municipality shows the girlfriend arriving in a white van and stopping in a breakdown bay inside the Qingshan Tunnel. Her boyfriend arrives in a 4WD shortly after, having persuaded a friend to follow her in his vehicle along the busy Wanzhou-Lichuan Expressway. Authorities say the couple had argued at a motorway service area, resulting in the woman driving off on her own in the white van. Footage from the tunnel shows the couple arguing in the narrow two-lane tunnel, with their friend later driving away after reportedly failing to break up the fight. During the argument, which police say lasted 20 minutes, the girlfriend can be seen sprinting to the opposite side of the road and throwing kicks and punches at her lover. A number of cars can be seen passing the couple as they move from one side of the road to the other, and also while the girlfriend lies in the centre of the tunnel. Chongqing motorway authorities eventually arrived to break up the fight and detained both for their stunt. The police said they were given verbal warnings but no charges appeared to have been filed. They did not reveal what the couple were arguing about.

Pic shows: The concrete mixer rolling over the vehicle A driver is fighting for his life after an out-of-control concrete mixer lorry crushed a small car against a crash barrier and rolled right over it, as this video shows. The horrific accident was captured by CCTV cameras in the city of Pinghu in China’s eastern Zhejiang Province. Authorities say the concrete mixer was going over the speed limit and its driver could not stop in time when reaching the crossroads where three saloon cars can be seen waiting at the lights. In the video, the lorry slams into the back of a silver saloon car and crashes into a second vehicle as well. However, the first silver saloon comes off worst as the lorry pushes it against the nearby crash barrier and crushes it from the left side before driving right over it. Images taken in the aftermath show the small car mangled and badly misshapen by the impact, with the lorry on top of it. Rescuer say the driver survived the accident but was rushed to hospital in critical condition. He is not out of harm’s way and still fighting for his life. The police are still investigating the case, with the lorry driver believed to have been detained shortly after the crash.

Pic Shows: The aftermath of the accident; A bungling lorry driver who is believed to have fallen asleep at the wheel has crashed into a dozen cars after accidentally veering into a street filled with parked cars. The late-night incident happened in the city of Taiyuan in North China’s Shanxi Province, where all of the vehicles involved were not occupied at the time. CCTV images from the street show the semi-trailer lorry hauling a shipment of wood and logs crashing off the road and into the area full of cars. The out-of-control heavy goods vehicle does not even slow as it ploughs into the narrow side street and damages parked cars left and right. Authorities say the driver damaged 12 cars in total, and did not stop until he broke a tree and a traffic light, causing some 27,000 RMB (3,100 GBP) in damage. The driver claimed to have been too tired at the time of accident - and said his brakes failed at the crucial moment. He has been detained and he or his employers are expected to foot the bill for the damage. He may also face punishment for driving while fatigued.
