Pic Shows: Santa tumbles over and falls into the water; This is the moment Father Christmas goes overboard during a Christmas visit to see wide-eyed kids, and tumbles head-first from the dinghy onto the beach. Fortunately for the world’s youngsters, Santa was uninjured during the incident at Bakoven Beach in the south-western South African port city of Cape Town and Christmas is unlikely to be delayed. Father Christmas met the expectant visitors with his customary greeting "ho, ho, ho!", but came a cropper when he tried to disembark the National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) vessel while unaided by his elves. The NSRI uploaded the video to social media, where it has been seen by 60,000 people, alongside the message: "Oops..." In the video, the dinghy is seen approaching the shore as Father Christmas waves at the crowd assembled on the beach to see him. Carrying a big bag of goodies, Santa goes to step off the boat but slips and tumbles head first onto the sand. Crowd members gasp and then laugh at the embarrassing mishap, however Father Christmas quickly gets to his feet and a little helper is seen straightening his hat. In another angle filmed from the NSRI dinghy, Santa is seen flipping over onto the beach below before crew members break out laughing. Fortunately, Father Christmas gets up unhurt and punches the air in defiance.

Shumeez Scott comes from the suburb of Mitchells Plain in the city of Cape Town in the south-western South African province of Western Cape. The contract came as a huge surprise to Shumeez and mother Bahia Janodien after it was presented during a modelling show organised for children with Down syndrome. The event saw 23 aspiring models strut down the catwalk. The groundbreaking gala was the first one to feature children with Down syndrome as models, according to local media. Scott was crowned as queen of Miss MWI (Magnificent Women Icon) Phenomenal SA 2018/2019 pageant which she won back in March. After receiving a lifetime modelling contract with the Ace Model Agency at the event on 4th November, Janodien said: "It was wonderful. I have no words to describe the success of the event. "The models were simply phenomenal. They were aged between 18 and 38, and I would like to thank the various sponsors." Janodien said that her daughter will soon travel to Nigeria where she will be honoured by First Lady Aisha Buhari. The teen’s mum added: "My daughter is taking on the world, and we know she will do well. "She would also like to improve her reading and writing skills, but for this she needs to go to a special school where the tuition costs are high."
