This footage shows a young calf apparently being attacked by a tiny armadillo as many believe the killer critter could be behind a string of bovine deaths previously attributed to a supernatural beast.

The incident was filmed in a field in the municipality of Benito Juarez in the eastern Argentine province of Buenos Aires, and shared on Twitter by netizen ‘Miguel Eduardo Mejia’ where it has been viewed over 125,000 times.

In the unusual clip, a mother cow is seen standing over her newborn which appears to be in distress on the ground.

Meanwhile, a small animal is apparently attacking its midriff before the cameraperson traps it and carries it away.

According to the netizen, three dead newborn calves were found in the field with their entrails hanging out.

‘Miguel Eduardo Mejia’ then revealed that the mysterious creature is probably a killer armadillo.

He said: “There were three deaths before the culprit was found. I have never seen anything like this. An armadillo attacking a living calf.”

However, many netizens were concerned that the armadillo was in fact the mythical ‘Goatsucker’ monster, also known as a Chupacabra.

Twitter user ‘AliciaalegreRh’ commented: “Could it be the Goatsucker?”

‘HJubilado’ said: “Did you find the Goatsucker there? It could be the answer to the other mysterious deaths?”

‘ArielscottScott’ wrote: “The mystery of the Goatsucker has been solved.” The netizen also said that the animal is probably a ‘big hairy armadillo’ (Chaetophractus villosus).

‘Gufruela’ commented: “You have just destroyed the Goatsucker!”

‘Malditaisoka’ said: “I would never have imagined that an armadillo could do that to a calf! It is the first time I have seen it and I’m stunned.”
