This is the moment a drunk husband threatening to throw himself off a building begs cops to save him when he’s left hanging after slipping over the edge.

Police chest cam footage from the city of Jinhua in East China’s Zhejiang Province shows authorities approaching the unnamed husband in his 40s.

He reportedly sat on the 3rd-floor parapet of his building’s stairwell and threatened to jump, and he can be heard telling approaching officers: “Don’t come any closer!”

However, moments later the drunk man reportedly loses his balance and slips off the low wall.

Officers rush up the steps to grab him as he hangs on the outside of the wall, repeatedly shouting: “Pull me up! Pull me up!”

Members of the Sanjiang Police Station rescue the intoxicated husband, who slumps on the stairwell floor in relief.

The man revealed he had had an argument with his wife and went out drinking, but when he came home, his wife was not there and he realised he had forgotten to bring his keys.

He then called a locksmith who refused to pick his door lock because he was drunk and could not verify his identity.

The frustrated husband therefore decided to climb the parapet and threaten suicide – before changing his mind when his slip brought the prospect of death into perspective.

After the police rescued him, they took him to the police station to sober up before sending him home.
