This is the moment a makeshift popcorn machine explodes, sending puffy corn flying into the CCTV camera and across the street like something from a Hollywood blockbuster.
The incident was filmed in the city of Shenyang in the Chinese province of Liaoning on 14th December.
According to local reports, a local resident was preparing to heat up a large helping of popcorn on the street when a fault occurred with the machine.
When he turned on the contraption, the popcorn failed to go into the attached long, plastic bag and instead was blasted across the street.
Local media said a woman was hit by the flying puffy popcorn while walking on the other side of the road.
In the CCTV footage, the man is seen preparing his apparently makeshift machine on one side of the road.
As two women cross the road in front of him, the man gestures to anyone listening that he is about to start the machine and duly turns the handle.
An explosion then sends popcorn flying in all directions, including straight into the CCTV camera.
One woman, apparently accompanying the man, simply covers her face and remains fixed to the spot.
Smoke fills the air and the two passing women glare over at the man, apparently unharmed by the blast despite standing close by.
