This is the moment a rural resident films the “otherworldly” miscarried foetus of a goat with locals claiming that the mother was allegedly raped by a farmer.
The footage of the strange-looking foetus was filmed on a small farm in a rural area of the Brazilian city of Fortaleza on the morning of Wednesday, 14th July.
The man can be heard saying “it looks like a child; look, people; neck of a child, head of a goat” as he prods the foetus with a stick.
He goes on to call the foetus “otherworldly”, with several local media outlets reporting on the story describing the dead animal as “half goat, half human”.
The man, who calls himself “Ze Galinha” (“Chicken Joe”), also films an adult goat standing nearby, presumed to be the mother of the miscarried kid.
Despite the sad event, it did not stop netizens from cracking jokes, with Facebook user Marivaldo Cavalcante Rego commenting: “It’s good to do a DNA test to know who the father is.”
Facebook user Jeronimo Santoro commented: “That child is yours, Ze Galinha. Or rather Ze da Cabra (Joe of the Goat).”
Facebook user Francisca Bonifacia da Silva clarified the event, writing: “It’s just an anomaly. It’s impossible to genetically cross humans and animals and give rise to a new being. So says science.”
It is not clear who provided the information that a farmer had sex with the adult goat, though it was reported as fact by several local news outlets.
It is not known if the police are investigating the case.
