This impressive footage shows members of the Turkish Search and Rescue specialised unit completing an air-to-sea boat launching course.

Crew can be seen flying over the seashore near the city of Izmir and launching a flotation device from the aircraft into the water, then jumping in themselves by using parachutes.

The images were obtained by Newsflash from the Turkish Ministry of National Defence, along with a short statement: “An Air-to-Sea Boat Launching Course was given to the Search and Rescue Specialized Personnel at the Izmir 2nd Main Jet Base Command in order to gain the ability to launch boats.”
