Model Gizem Bagdacicek – who has more than 162,000 followers on Instagram – said on Twitter: “I will spend one month of the money I earn from OnlyFans to support. Please let’s get through this with the least damage. This is all I can do, I’m so sorry.”

Gizem’s tweet has been viewed more than 1.3 million times since she posted it on 6th February, hours after southern Turkey was hit by two large quakes.

Many netizens responded well to her tweet, calling her “courageous” and “braver than those who talk down to you”.

But some said she should not use the money she makes on the London-based adult content platform this way.

‘Aerondight’ said: “I’m sorry, your intentions may be good, but don’t donate the money you earn by doing this job to the poor people.”

She then built up her fanbase on Instagram and OnlyFans.

The 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck early on Monday morning in southern Turkey, devastating the south of the country and northern Syria, has been described by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan as one of the worst disasters in decades.

He is expected to visit the region for the first time, today, Wednesday (8th February).

A second earthquake of 7.6 magnitude hit the same region again at noon Monday, causing even more damage.
