This is the spooky moment a bright light is filmed speeding across the sky by a shocked smartphone user who thought it was a UFO ‘from another planet’.

The incident was filmed by Alejandro Caminada from the city of Gregorio de Laferrere in the eastern Argentine province of Buenos Aires on his smartphone and posted on Facebook.

He was reported in local media as saying that he believed the mysterious object came from another planet.

Caminada said: “I was with my friend at his place when he called me over to point out a strange tube-shaped object in the sky.”

The spooked Argentine added: “It was crossing the sky in a very striking way. It was long like a tube and it did not make a sound as it span very quickly.

“I began to record it, but then it suddenly disappeared. It was very odd, I have never seen anything like it before in this area.”

However, not everyone was convinced that the object was an alien UFO and some netizens claimed that it was probably a Google ‘Loon’ balloon used to provide internet access to remote areas or even a weather balloon.

Facebook user ‘Roy Gaston’ said: “That is not an UFO, it is a Google balloon.”

Another netizen added: “It is a balloon used to study the weather. They are American, there are three of them over Buenos Aires.”

But ‘Viviana Giselle Fernandez Juarez’ said: “Miss, it is better to start looking at the sky frequently! We are not the only ones int he universe and those who are not seeing the shifts from galactic visitors, it is because they never look up”.
