This is the horrific moment a speeding driver slams into a group of bikers waiting at a red light and sends them flying through a crossroads.
Authorities in the county of Peng’an in south-western China’s Sichuan Province say three moped riders survived the crash and were treated at the local People’s Hospital.
CCTV images released by the police show the victims waiting at the red light at the junction on Fenghuang Avenue.

The suspect’s red saloon speeds into view and appears to be heading for a rear-end collision with a people carrier when he suddenly veers away to the right.
As a result, his car crashes into the back of the three riders, who are sent flying into the junction while pieces of their mopeds are flung through the crossroads.
The violent accident ended with all three riders unconscious at the scene.
The extent of their injuries has not been reported.
The suspect, who was not named, claimed he mistook his accelerator pedal for the brakes while approaching the red light.
The authorities have detained him and are awaiting a toxicology report to rule out drink-driving or drug use.
He didn’t mistook his accelerator pedal for the brakes, he was just speeding above the limit, unable to stop fastly.
