This is the moment a muscly man standing on top of a train bursts into a flurry of sparks when he is electrocuted after touching a high-voltage power line.

The man, who was instantly killed, climbed on top of a train at the Majestic railway station in the city of Bengaluru in the south-western Indian state of Karnataka.

According to local media, the man was threatening to commit suicide after climbing on top of the train.

In the disturbing footage, the allegedly suicidal man is seen on top of the train as he casts a look to witnesses standing on the track.

The muscly man lifts up his trousers and without hesitation raises his arm to touch a power line above his head.

A sickening sound is heard as a fireball explodes in front of him.

However, the man explodes again as the high-voltage current zaps through his limp body and a larger fireball consumes him.

His smoking body is seen slowly falling backwards and he crashes onto the top of the train.

According to reports, onlookers tried to convince the young man to come down from his position, however he was adamant that he wanted to end his life.

Some onlookers filmed the incident and posted the footage on social media.

There has been no comment from the local authorities at this time.
