This is the moment a young woman is frogmarched out of a supermarket by elite Spanish soldiers after reportedly being caught stealing products from the perfume section.

The incident was filmed in a Mercadona supermarket in the city of Almoradi in the eastern Spanish region of Valencia when several Spanish special ops soldiers, who happened to be there at the time, heard the commotion.

The footage shows the moment the suspected thief lashes out at a supermarket worker and security guard at the entrance.

In the second video, two Spanish soldiers, who are allowed to carry out arrests during the COVID-19 lockdown, are seen frogmarching the cuffed woman out of the Mercadona supermarket.

According to local media, the suspect was spotted stealing products in the perfume section by workers.

Reports said the woman turned violent when she was confronted by a supermarket worker and a security guard.

The soldiers happened to be in the supermarket when they heard the shouts.

They took the suspect to a Civil Guard station in the city. It is unclear whether she has yet been charged over the incident.

According to the latest figures from the Johns Hopkins University Spain has registered 110,238 cases of COVID-19 and 10,003 related deaths.

Meanwhile, 26,743 people have made full recoveries.
