This 47-stone Russian woman who has not left her home in years has been forced to rely on her son to care for her since he was just seven years old.

According to local media, 56-year-old Lubov Nurdinova has been housebound at her flat in the city of Tyumen in the southern Russian region of Tyumen Oblast for several years.

She has not only not ventured outside for some time but is reportedly now also unable to get out of her bed, according to reports.

Her 24-year-old son Aleksey reportedly takes care of his 300-kilogramme (47-stone) mother.

When not working he feeds, washes and gives her constant care, according to reports.

Like her twin sister, Lubov has struggled with her weight her whole life and she recalls the days when she used to sit in an armchair, and her belly was so stretched it could reach the floor, according to local media.

Lubov was around 100 kilogrammes (16 stone) when she got married, but she has put on much more weight since giving birth to three children.

She said: “After each pregnancy, I would gain weight. But I wasn’t eating much, as many people might think. I would have coffee in the morning, snack for lunch and that was about it.”

Shortly after her youngest son Aleksey was born, her partner left her and she was forced to raise him on her own.

Aleksey has reportedly been taking care of his mother since the age of seven.

Meanwhile, the family said that they do not have enough money to pay for surgery to help Lubov lose weight.

Netizen ‘Elena’ said: “I feel so bad for her son, he has been taking care of her since the age of seven! That is crazy.”

‘Nevazhno’ commented: “I hope someone can help her.”
