This is the moment a cop stands alone in front of a suspected getaway car used by four alleged thieves who reportedly broke into a restaurant with a fake gun foiling their escape.
The incident took place after the gang called ‘La Banda de Los Nenes’ (The gang of the Boys) allegedly broke into a restaurant in the neighbourhood of Retiro, in the Argentine capital Buenos Aires.
The gang reportedly used a replica gun to steal the cash from the restaurant till and the belongings of customers before they fled in a car.

In the video, police officer Mauricio Gauna can be seen in front of the gang’s car with his pistol drawn.
Gauna, no age reported, can be seen in the middle of the road keeping the car from passing.
The standoff continues until the cop’s backup arrives and surround the car. The gang then give themselves up and are forced to lie on the tarmac as they are arrested
Another clip shows Gauna pointing his weapon at the gang’s car, which appears to be a Honda.

Cops reportedly seized the car, a replica weapon, cash, a mobile phone and a watch which were returned to their owners.
Further checks determined that two of the four suspects were minors and that one of the underage suspects and one of the adults had criminal records for unspecified crimes.
The two adults were taken to a police station and the two minors to a youth institution.
They have been charged with attempted robbery and the investigation is ongoing.
