This is the moment a man makes a jump from a 131-foot bridge into a river as his friend films the clip but instead the stunt backfires and he breaks his pelvis.

The 33-year-old man, whose identity is not disclosed, has decided to jump from a 40 metres (131 foot) bridge that is reportedly forbidden for jumping near the city of Sibenik on the Adriatic Coast in southern Croatia.

His unnamed friend was filming him and telling him to jump on his feet and before the action the man who jumped said: “If I die, tell people I was good.”

A witness said: “There were two guys, and as I understood from their conversation, one of them went to show his friend that he can jump from the bridge as the other one filmed with a mobile.

“As he jumped he turned in the air and fall on the chests, instead of legs.”

The man was found consciousness and was taken to hospital.

Another video shows the footage of the rescue team coming from a boat and swimming to the coast towards the man who has red skin from the impact.

Head of the Sibenik surgery Ivo Blace said: “He is currently in intensive care, if everything is alright and there are no complications, which in such falls from big height cannot be excluded, we can transfer him to the Traumatology in Zagreb.”

In the free fall he reached the speed of about 100 kph, according to local media.

The video has been watched over 300,000 times.

Netizen ‘Kazimir Ivancevic’ commented: “Whoever jumped from the Sibenik bridge it’s known where he ended, this is a miracle.
