A 22-year-old rookie pilot saved herself and her two passengers after making a miracle perfect landing on the side of a snow-covered mountain.

An aerial picture obtained by Newsflash shows the plane perched on the slope after it landed 2,100 metres up a mountain in the Logorai range in Italy’s Eastern Alps.
Pilot Silvia De Bon was hailed a hero after making the emergency landing on 28th December with her brother Matteo, 27, and his girlfriend, Giorgia Qualizza, 28, on board.
The three had set off from Belluno on a pleasure flight heading for Trento but began to lose altitude over the Alps.
When the plane went into a sudden dive, Silvia realised she’d have to make a near-impossible emergency landing on the Alpine slope.

Astonishingly, the plane came down perfectly and the only injuries came when Silvia suffered minor cuts after a window burst.
The Italian air safety agency was informed of the accident and an inspection of the plane confirmed that it was intact.
The newly-qualified pilot had only recently returned from the USA, where she had obtained her pilot’s licence.
Her social media postings are full of her passion for flying, which has always made her family nervous.

Her father Ettore said after the accident: “It’s a miracle she’s alive, I really hope she drops flying, even if she always tells me you’re more likely to die in a road accident than flying.”
