Sleepy Head Puts Beef Stew In Washing Machine By Mistake

A sleepy person has posted snaps online showing what it looks like when you accidentally put a takeaway bowl of beef gyudon in the washing machine and it mixes in with your clothing.

The accident happened when the person who went by the handle ‘@sauntm’ was woken up by the doorbell and opened it to get a package that they put on the washing machine.

They said they put it there “without checking to see what it was” and had then gone back to bed.

They continued: “When I got up again, I realised it must’ve been a pickled vegetable and gyudon set from Matsuya. I didn’t order it and all I could see in there was a tub of pickled vegetables, so I thought it was odd but I just ate the pickled vegetables anyway and I did the laundry. Now this.”

But it seems that the pickles were also accompanied by the beef gyudon, a meal that contains rice together with thin slices of stewed beef and a fried onion sauce.

Local media reported that the delivery had probably been pre-paid and delivered by mistake, and the person only realised the error themselves when emptying the washing machine.

The lid on the plastic pot reads reads “Takana Mentai Mayo Gyudon” which means “Gyudon with Mustard Leaf, Cod Caviar & Mayonnaise” – all of which is now encrusted on the person’s clothes and washing machine.

Posting the pictures they said: “I washed gyudon and now the inside of the washing machine is a disaster zone.”

The gyudon disaster tweet quickly went viral, racking up over 250,000 likes in just a couple of days and more than 1,000 comments, including on that said “I put mackerel through the laundry one time and all the clothes stank like fish” and another that said, “And I thought tissues in the wash were bad!”
