A furious woman pummeled a man to the ground when he groped her thigh at a service station coffee bar.

The blistering response came when the woman – named only as Miram in local media in Brazil – felt the man touching her leg while she was scrolling through her phone at the counter.

CCTV footage shows the man running his hand along her thigh as he walks past her bar stool in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul state, on 15th May.

But he was totally unprepared when she wheeled around and began raining punches down on his head.

As he falls to the floor, Mariam – an attendant at the service station on a coffee break – continues to batter him until another woman drags her off.

The man – wide-eyed with fear – tries to sidle towards the exit but is knocked to the ground again when she launches a second attack.

Eventually, he is allowed to escape through the door.

It is unclear if he plans to file an assault complaint.

While many netizens criticised the female worker for overreacting, some commended her for standing up against harassment.

One Twitter user wrote: “This is not aggression, it’s just a reaction in the defence of harassment. More women should defend themselves like this.”
