This CCTV footage shows the moment when a drunk trashes four parked luxury cars after a Friday-night bender.

The incident took place at a hotel car park in Chengdu, south-western China at around 5am on Saturday, 21st May.

The footage opens with the drunk’s female friend desperately trying to hold him back as he takes runs at the parked vehicles and lashes out at them with his feet.

In the end, she can only look in despair as the man mounts the bonnet of one of the vehicles and stamps on its windscreen, cracking it.

He then jumps onto the bonnet of a larger vehicle parked alongside it and slips and falls on his behind. He then slides down the bonnet and onto the ground.

The damaged cars included two Rolls-Royces and a Lamborghini and between them are worth more than GBP 1 million.

Local media reported that the repairs were estimated to cost between CNY 1 million (GBP 118,000) and CNY 1.5 million (GBP 176,800).

Local media also reported that the man – identified only as Gao, 24, from Tianjin – later handed himself in to police and was arrested.

He stands accused of ‘intentional destruction of property’.
