This is the scary moment several children are rollerskating on the roof of a building and then leaning on its edge without a fence, apparently unaware of their dangerous actions.

The incident happened in the city of Bayannur in the Chinese region of Inner Mongolia on 10th April.

In the video, four smiling children obviously unaware of their dangerous act, can be seen on the roof of a building, some of them rollerskating.

As one child is running in the background, three children approach the edge of the roof with apparently no fence, kneeling and looking down to the ground, and two of them throw some objects, probably sticks.

A woman only named Ms Lin, who recorded the video, told local media that when she saw the children without an adult nearby, in order to prevent fatal consequences she immediately informed the staff from the property who came and took the children to safety.

The parents of the children have also been informed about the incident.

It is not known how the children went to the roof unnoticed, and whether any safety measures will be taken to prevent a further incident.

The video gained a lot of comments on the social network Douyin, which is what TikTok is called in China, such as netizen ‘meet by chance’ who wrote: “I don’t know what the parents do.”

While ‘User 1346860841159’ said: “Scared me to death, my heart keeps pounding.”

And ‘Baoxiang’ commented: “For properties like this, it is necessary to lock the entrance and exit doors as well.”
