A man is offering second opinions on “any topic” on an online marketplace for less than GBP 3 per opinion.

Samuel Xie, 38, offers his unique service on the Singaporean online marketplace Carousell.

Under the user ID ruykn.xu, Xie simply asks would-be customers: “Need a second opinion from an unbiased source?

“Contact me with a question on any topic and you’ll get it!”

For anyone willing to contact Xie for a second opinion on anything, the fee is SGD 5 (GBP 2.8).

Xie told the news site AsiaOne that he posted the advert over a year ago, but did not receive much interest until a Facebook netizen posted a screenshot of his listing earlier this month.

Since then, the “unbiased source”, who sells other products on his page, has seen a surge in interest and currently boasts a five-star rating from satisfied customers.

Xie said that he acts as a “sounding board” for pals worried about their future, and that netizens approach him about simpler matters such as wedding songs to use or brands of computer to buy.
