This is the moment a hospital cleaner washes a naked young woman patient’s face with water from a bucket she was reportedly earlier using to clean a faeces-filled floor with.

The shocking incident took place at Hospital Number 2 located in the city of Miass in western Russia’s Chelyabinsk Oblast region and the hospital’s chief has now been fired.

In the footage, a naked female patient can be seen sitting on the bed surrounded by a brown liquid – reportedly faeces.

The woman recording complains that the faeces is making her stay in the hospital uncomfortable.

The cleaner then picks up a cloth from a bowl of visibly dirty water and begins washing the patient’s face with it. Local media report she had been using the water in the bucket to clean the floor.

The cleaner reportedly had no right to touch the patient as it is not her role. However, local media report she has been touching the patients for a while after reaching an agreement with the hospital’s management to help manage the wards.

After the footage was leaked the local healthcare watchdog investigated the hospital and found several faults, including information that doctors were allegedly asking for money for insurance-covered surgeries.

Hospital chief Denis Makhankov lost his job as a result of the investigation which some reports state found he had been involved in corruption using the money to buy equipment for the hospital.
