This is the moment two brothers beat their own mother and sister with a number of blunt objects including a hammer over an alleged inheritance dispute.

The shocking incident took place inside the family residence in the Pakistani city of Peshawar on Saturday 3rd June.

The video shows the two brothers shoving their female relatives to the ground and striking them several times with a hammer and a motorcycle helmet.

The video was uploaded to social media by the younger victim’s son, who accused his two maternal uncles of badly injuring his mother and grandmother.

In his post, he appealed directly to local police chief Abbas Ahsan, writing: “@AbbasAhsan I never imagined I will do this. I am uploading this video in position of very helplessness.

“Today my three (sic) maternal uncle attacked my mother when I and my brother were not home. They attacked and badly beat my mother and grandmother #HelpArsalanFamily Helpthisfamily”.

Cops later arrested suspects Aftab and Arshad Hanna, who confessed to the crime of torture during questioning.

According to the police, they beat up their sister when she asked for her share of their inheritance from their father. The men also beat up their own mum when she tried to intervene.

The younger victim told the police that her brothers had bought 10 properties with their dad’s money and left her nothing. She was taken to hospital following the brutal attack.

The victims’ current state is unknown and it was not reported when the suspects will face trial.
