Shock Moment Huge Crane Falls Directly On Moving SUV In Strong Winds

This is the moment a teetering crane falls through the air and crashes on top of a moving SUV on the nearby dual carriageway.

The incident was filmed in the city of Kunshan in the eastern Chinese province of Jiangsu on 14th September after Typhoon Chanthu battered the country’s east coast this week.

The typhoon is believed to have caused the crane to destabilise and eventually crash to the ground, however, the official cause of the accident remains under investigation.

According to the news site Weibo, the driver of a Jaguar SUV was seriously injured when the crane, located near the Kunshan Science Museum, suddenly tilted and plummeted on the road, landing on top of the passing vehicle.

The emergency services arrived on the scene and the driver, name and age not reported, had to be rescued from the crushed SUV.

Local media said the Jaguar was a complete write-up after being left nothing more than a mangled mess by the strong impact.
