SHELL WE DANCE? Pet Turtle Goes Viral For Slick Dancing Moves

A tiny pet turtle went viral on social media after its owner shared a hilarious video of it dancing to a funky tune in her hands.

Leah Brunson, 21, from Georgia, USA, told Newsflash in an interview that she filmed the video of Myrtle, her pet box turtle, in her bedroom after she got off work.

Myrtle has been living with nursing student Leah for the past eight years.

Leah said: ” I found her in my woods when I was 13 years old and I believe she was about a year old then, so she’s probably around nine or 10 years old.”

In the video, Leah can be seen holding little Myrtle upright in her hands as the groovy turtle swings her tiny legs to the music being played in the background.

Leah told Newsflash that she filmed the adorable video, which went viral on TikTok with over 18 million views, because she thought it would be a funny thing for a turtle to dance.

Leah said she also has a one-year-old cat, but so far, she has not allowed her two pets to get too close to each other because she is concerned about how they might get along.

She has even sprayed her cat with water every time it got near Myrtle so often that it became afraid of the turtle.

Leah said: “He’s never done anything to her but I like to be on the safe side because she’s never bitten anything or anyone to protect herself.
