A forgetful tipper driver caused motorway chaos when he drove off with his payload bay raised and wedged it under a bridge.
As the truck carried on up the highway in the city of Mississauga, Canada, his tipper section stayed put, wedged between the footbridge and the tarmac.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were forced to close off the road until bridge engineers could assess the damage.
OPP Highway Safety Division released a video of the peculiar event with the caption: “Dump box up = empty the load. Dump box down = drive. Seems this wasn’t followed today.”
In the footage, the lorry can be seen positioned a bit further back with its torn-off box lodged underneath the pass.
The driver was not injured in the crash, OPP said.

He was reportedly charged with unsafe operation of a motor vehicle and failure to do proper prescribed inspection.
