This beautiful brunette who is suspected of heading an assassin cell of the Sinaloa Cartel has been found dead in a lover’s bed in mysterious circumstances.

Claudia Ochoa Felix, known as ‘Emperatriz de Los Antrax’ (‘Anthrax Empress’), is believed to have led the assassin unit of the Sinaloa Cartel, which was headed by Joaquin ‘El Chapo’ Guzman before his extradition to the US, and she was found dead in a house in Isla Musala in the city of Culiacan in the north-western Mexican state of Sinaloa.

According to local media, the 35-year-old woman died during the night of a suspected pulmonary aspiration, although it is currently unclear whether she was the victim of foul play or whether it was accidental.  Aspiration occurs when someone breaths foreign objects such as fluids into their lungs. It can cause choking and death.

Reports said that she went to a nightclub in the city and returned to a man’s house later that night.

When the presumed lover tried to wake Ochoa Felix up, she did not respond and he called the local authorities. Her body has been taken to a forensic lab to undergo an autopsy.

According to local media, the curvy brunette worked as a model and was romantically linked to Jose Rodrigo Arechiga, better known as ‘El Chino Antrax’ (‘The Chinese Anthrax’), who headed the Anthrax gang that is connected to the Sinaloa Cartel before his imprisonment.

Reports also said that she was married to a drug trafficker with the Sinaloa Cartel nicknamed ‘El Chavo Felix’ who she had three children with.

After Chinese Anthrax was arrested, Felix then became the Anthrax group’s leader and the cell followed the orders of Sinaloa Cartel leader Ismael El Mayo Zambada to carry out hits, according to local media.

Prosecutor Juan Jose Rios Estavillo said that alcohol and other substances were found in Ochoa Felix’s body and that she died of suffocation, but they are waiting for the autopsy results to learn more.

The investigation is ongoing.
