A serial paedophile from Zimbabwe has been found guilty of 11 attacks against children at Northampton Crown Court.
Simba Masvaure, 44, faces a long spell in a UK prison after being found guilty of 11 sexual offences against minors during the 10-day trial.
Northampton Crown Court convicted Masvaure, who lived in Bradville in Milton Keynes, of sexual assault by penetration, attempted rape, and sexual activity with a child, among other sickening offences.
His crimes took place around Northampton during a 12-year period.
Masvaure claimed his innocence during the trial, however, a guilty verdict was returned and his sentencing is due on 13th August.
Lead investigating officer Kirsty Brooks honoured the “incredible strength and bravery of the victims”, adding: “Their stoicism throughout a long investigation and a difficult 10-day trial has been astounding. I am so pleased the jury delivered the right verdict.”
She also called Masvaure an “evil and manipulative man” who lied right up until the trial’s conclusion, causing further anguish for the victims.
Brooks said: “He groomed, manipulated, and abused over a long period of time, and to stand up and speak out against him takes enormous courage.”
She said the conviction “also sends out a message to other victims. We will listen to you, we will believe you, we will do all we can to bring offenders to justice. Masvaure is where he should be, behind bars, where he cannot hurt anybody else”.
Brooks added: “If you have been a victim of sexual assault, whether recent or non-recent, please come forward and call us on 101 or use our online reporting tool.”
