This is the moment a Saudi man drives around inside a shopping centre in a luxury sports car after reportedly hiring out the entire building for a day of retail therapy.

The startling scene was recorded by a security guard at the Al Qasr Mall in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh.

In the video, the security guard can be seen filming what appears to be an Aston Martin DB11 AMR being driven through the first floor of the empty shopping centre.

The driver, dressed in full Arab garbs, pulls up outside a shop and he and a passenger get out of the car.

The driver of the luxury car has not been identified but the security guard can be heard in the video saying: “They’re saying that someone rented out the whole place. Look, he’s even cruising here in his car. Looks like he’s super rich.”

It is yet to be confirmed if the pair had rented out the entire shopping centre or not.

Some netizens speculated the scene could be part of the filming of an advert for the shopping centre or a TV show.

The Al Qasr Mall is comprised of four levels, accommodating 350 retail shops as well as a food court and a two-storey car park with enough room for 2,200 vehicles. It was opened in 2013.
