This stunning Singaporean influencer has been turned away from a luxury cruise at the last minute because she also works as a nurse dealing with COVID-19 patients on the frontlines.

Jade Rasif, who has almost 400,000 followers on Instagram, was quizzed by Royal Caribbean as to whether she had been in contact with anyone that had tested positive for COVID-19, and when she confirmed that she had through her work, was told she was no longer welcome on the cruise.

The ill-fated trip, which was destined to go nowhere other than sail around for hardcore cruise fans, was reported to have set off but then had to turn back after a suspected case of COVID-19. It later turned out to be a false alarm.

When the news surfaced, disappointed Jade, who was supposed to be on board with her family, wrote on social media: “Yes guys, this is the one I was supposed to be on. I got denied boarding because of my job.”

She also admitted: “I was so chill about being turned away because I believe things happen for a reason, and most we can do is to try and see the good in everything. Praying for everyone’s safety though.”

The young woman has been a health volunteer on the frontline since April and later became a full-time nurse.

In the post, she also shared a letter that she received from Royal Caribbean International apologising that they could not accept her on board as a guest, and offered a refund on any taxes and fees she paid.

They also offered a consolation stay at a hotel with tickets to the local zoo.

After many followers posted their consolation thoughts, she then shared a snap of her wearing a bikini on the back of a boat with the message: “Since working in healthcare got me kicked off the cruise to nowhere, here’s a cute pic of me getting lit on a boat anyway #happy”.”
