A Russian TV presenter who survived when she was dragged into a forest by her jealous ex-husband who then tortured her and hacked off her arms with an axe has announced the birth of her third child with her new husband.

The former television host Margarita Gracheva, 28, from Serpukhov near Moscow, posted pictures on Instagram announcing the birth of her son yesterday (25th August) saying that she was caught by surprise after initially being told that after having two sons, the third baby would be a girl.

She told her fans in an Instagram posting: “I’m not exaggerating, this news really SHOCKED me. YOU HAVE A BOY!!!”

She said the news came after the doctor had insisted that she was expecting a girl, and she was left with no idea what to call the new child as she only had girl’s names, and what to tell everyone as well, including the baby’s two brothers who were expecting a sister.

She had even purchased pink items and the gender reveal party in pink had even been featured on local television.

She added however that she was still delighted, saying: “I understand perfectly well that the main thing is a healthy baby, but it is difficult when you talk to your daughter in your tummy for 4 months, finally in the children’s store you pay attention to the dresses and think that very soon we will dilute our male team with the baby and then you hear: “BOY!

“THREE boys, THREE!!! Baby, we all love you very much, gain strength and very soon we will see our son, brother and grandson.”

She added however that she was planned to have four or five children and fully expects that one of the next two may well turn out to be a girl.

A black and white picture shows her newborn boy with her prosthetic arm nearby that she has been using since her jealous ex-husband chopped off her own arm in December 2017.

Local news site Life reports that her ex, who was not named, took her into a forest and tied her up after he accused of her cheating on him and she asked him for a divorce.

He then tortured Margarita before pulling out an axe which he used to hack off both of her arms.

After the brutal attack, her ex took her to hospital where doctors were able to save her right arm but were unable to do the same for her left arm as it had been irreparably damaged by the attack.

Margarita survived the ordeal and doctors fitted her with a pro prosthetic arm which she now proudly shows off on social media.

The mother of three even published a book in 2019 titled “Happy Without Hands” in which she detailed how despite what her ex did to her she has continued to live a happy and prosperous life.

Her ex-husband was sentenced to 14 years in prison and deprived of parental rights over the couples two shared children Danila, 7, and Dimitry, 8.

After successfully undergoing physiotherapy she mastered the use of her new arm and in 2019 and met her new husband Maxim Andryushchenko with whom she just had her baby boy.

Margarita announced the birth of the boy to her 128,000 followers on Instagram with a picture captioned: “Our little (not so little) boy was born on August 25th at 10.10. Weighing 3,700 grammes at 53 centimetres.”

In less than 24 hours the post racked up 36,568 likes with countless comments from netizens congratulating the pair on their baby.
