This is the Russian teenager who got pregnant at 13 and now seven-months after giving birth has revealed that she is struggling to rebuild her life, as her school banned her from returning and her family life is complicated by abusive parents.
Daria Sudnishnikova, a teenager from the town of Zheleznogorsk in Russia’s south-eastern region of Krasnoyarsk Krai, became famous after she became pregnant last year at the age of 13, and claimed that her boyfriend, Sasha, who was aged 10 at the time, was the father.
However, after doctors pointed out that the ten-year-old was unlikely to be the biological father, Daria confessed that the real father was a 14-year old boy who is now 16 that raped her in a stairwell.
Daria has now shared with her social media followers about her issues at school claiming that she has not been allowed to return to study, ruining her plans to finish school and get a good job.
The young mother claimed in a video update last Friday (12 March) that the school in her town had refused to let her return to her studies because she had fallen too far behind as a result of the time she took off during her pregnancy.
She added that the school is concerned about the bad publicity that Daria’s presence might generate.
The young mum’s problems have not been limited to her school life with issues at home frequently arising.
Local media reports that Daria’s stepdad is the only one earning an income in the family, and has a tendency towards abusing alcohol and hitting Daria and her mother.
Daria’s family constantly humiliated her as well, often calling her fat as a result of the weight she put on during her pregnancy.
She claimed that during the pregnancy she gained 46 kilogrammes (101 pounds) and felt very saddened by her thick thighs and chunky hands.
However, she has successfully lost 29 kilogrammes (63 pounds) with the help of a nutritionist and she says that now “looks exactly how she wants to”.
Daria has decided to help others with her successful weight loss, writing a guide for other young women who want to lose weight after pregnancy.
