A Russian official has shared her surprise at this painting on sale for USD 50,000 of the Klitschko brothers pictured naked with the colours of the Ukrainian flag covering their nether regions.

The portrait of the national heroes was painted by artist Oleg Borovich from the Ukrainian city of Rivne who is selling the piece online for USD 50,000 (GBP 26,264).

The painting depicts former heavyweight boxing champions Wladimir, 45, and brother Vitali, 50, currently the mayor of the Ukrainian capital Kiev, in a biblical-type scene.

The brothers are depicted naked alongside cherubs in a Garden of Eden-like setting. Some cherubs are holding up the heavyweight title belts. Meanwhile, the former boxers both wear loincloth with the colours of the national flag.

Marina Zakharova, 45, Director of the Information and Press Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, shared a picture of the painting on her Telegram channel and admitted her surprise.

She wrote: “I saw this work on social media, I couldn’t believe it. I thought it was a collage, but it turned out to be a painting by an artist that even has a price. There is also the Ukrainian flag there, look.”

There was no official reaction from the brothers about the afterwork.
