According to the police, the victim, whose name has not been reported, was found dead and officers on the scene decided to move the body in this controversial manner because they had a trailer nearby.

A police spokesperson said: “Investigators arrived on the scene and identified a suspect. The murdered man’s body was immediately taken to the morgue.”

It is unclear why the officers used a trailer and did not call for an ambulance as is common procedure.

Meanwhile, the police have defended the officers’ actions and the incident does not appear to be under internal investigation by the local authorities.

An unnamed netizen said: “What kind of attitude is that? They could have at least covered the corpse with a sheet or something.”

A guest user of a Russian internet forum added: “This is shocking! How dare they do something like that!”
