ROUND THE BEND: Passengers Get Out And Push After Bendy Bus Misses Turning

Commuting is enough to drive any worker round the bend.

But this group of passengers in the city of Bogota, Colombia, had to take that literally when their bus driver missed a turning.

Because the articulated bendy bus could not reverse to correct the error, long-suffering commuters have to get out and push to get the bus back on track.

TikTok footage shows more than 20 passengers forced to brave the rain to manhandle the huge bus backwards so the driver can try again.

TransMilenio – who operated the bus – apparently gave no explanation for the bizarre procedure local media reported about on Sunday (30th October).

One viewer of the clip posted by crisbus103 – which quickly garnered thousands of likes – commented: “The bus driver is a colleague of my dad with 10 years of experience. He miscalculated a bend. We are all humans and sometimes make mistakes.”

Many other netizens meanwhile claimed that the incident underlined the unpredictability of public transport in Bogota and life in Colombia in general.

One TikTok user said: “That’s why Colombia is ace.”

Another one posted: “The boss wants to know why you’re late. Well, I just had to push a TransMilenio this morning hahaha!”
