Cristiano Ronaldo’s stunning WAG was reportedly “furious” when this stunning Portuguese model ran up to the Juventus star and cuddled him at the MTV Europe Music Awards.
Ronaldo and his Spanish model girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez were both in attendance at the awards ceremony held in Seville in the Andalusia region of southern Spain.
Local media report Rodriguez, 25, had an “attack of jealousy” after Portuguese model and actress Rita Pereira, 37, ran up to Ronaldo and hugged him enthusiastically.
Reports of a possible fling between Ronaldo and Periera between 2008 and 2010 have been repeatedly made in the Portuguese press but neither of the pair have ever confirmed it.
One witness told Spanish online magazine ‘Look’: “It was a really uncomfortable scene, even for him, who was not expecting such effusiveness from his friend (Pereira).”
Ronaldo and his countrywoman reportedly hugged and chatted for a few minutes with Rodriguez in the background.
When Ronaldo realised his girlfriend was left out he called her over to introduce her to Pereira and the witness said “when it came to saying hello to the footballer’s girlfriend, Rita limited herself to looking at her, saying a timid ‘hello’ while she kept on speaking to Cristiano without stopping. His girlfriend’s face said everything, she was furious.”
Ronaldo and his girlfriend reportedly walked away from Pereira saying they needed to give an interview to a Portuguese media outlet, but the model is said to have ignored Rodriguez. The WAG reportedly responded by strongly reprimanding her boyfriend.
The unnamed witness went on: “It was a very awkward moment for those of us who were there. There were a lot of people around you could feel her anger. Rita is a good girl and I’m sure she didn’t have bad intentions. She is like that, very expressive, but I understand that Georgina was not happy to have bumped into her.”
Actress Pereira is said to be friendly with Ronaldo’s mother Maria Dolores. She starred in in Meu Amor which won the 2010 International Emmy Award for the Best Telenovela and has since starred in several other Portuguese telenovelas.
