Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly set to leave Juventus at the end of the season if they do not win the Champions League and is rumoured to be considering a return to Manchester United.
The news came in an exclusive report by Spanish panellist Eduardo Inda for the television programme “Chiringuito De Jugones” broadcast by Spanish channel La Sexta in an episode, who suggested the Italian champions could move for United’s Paul Pogba.
In the report, Inda said: “Cristiano Ronaldo could leave Juventus at the end of the current season if they do not win Champions.
“He went to Turin to try and win his third Champions League with a different club but things are getting complicated.”
Inda went on to explain a possible motive for the transfer is because “Juventus want to sign Pogba and Mbappe” saying: “I think it is going to be difficult for them, especially the second one.
“Due to the salary limits, if they want to sign these players they would have to allow for his (Ronaldo’s) exit from the club so it is becoming a very likely outcome.”
Reports have suggested some of the potential destinations for the five-time Champions League winner are Manchester United, L.A. Galaxy or a Portuguese club – it is unclear which club.
Ronaldo recently said he is not 100 percent physically after denying rumours of a possible rift between him and current Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri after he was substituted twice and seemingly unhappy with Sarri’s decisions as he walked off the pitch.
There have been no statements released by the Italian club or Ronaldo.
