Robbie Williams Reveals Secret Art Attack On Sh*t Hotel Paintings

Robbie Williams has mocked “sh*t” hotel art after finding a childish print he created and hung on his suite wall as a prank was still there the next year.

The former Take That star had knocked up the deliberately rubbish art on his iPad during a stay at Hamburg’s luxury five-star Fontenay hotel last November.

Then – after printing it out – the Let Me Entertain You singer framed it and hung it on the wall in his EUR 7,500-a-night suite.

To make sure the hotel got the joke, Robbie even captioned the series of abstract squiggles and dots: ‘Hotels will put any old sh*t up and call it art.”

But to the 49-year-old star’s astonishment his fake artwork was still on the wall when he booked into the same suite for another stay two months later.

Robbie’s art attack was revealed in videos that emerged on his Instagram profile this week.

In the footage, Robbie first shows himself hanging the print in November last year after knocking it up in minutes on the Procreate app.

As he displays the print he says: “So on my iPad I did the easiest abstract art anybody could ever do and then I wrote underneath it, ‘Hotels will put any old shit up and call it art’.

Robbie Williams, 49, poses in undated photo. He hung a random picture in a hotel in Hamburg, Germany, and found out it was still there a year later. (@robbiewilliams/CEN)

“Had it framed, then we’re in a hotel in Hamburg and I got some stickyback plastic, put it up on the wall.

“Yeah it’s fun. I think we’re going to do more of this.”

But when Robbie returned to the same hotel suite last January for a show at the Elbe Philharmonic he was baffled to find the painting was still there.

A second video shot by the star shows him looking in amazement at his print still hanging on the wall.

He says: “So we are now January 30th 2023. Last time I was here the Hamburg last year in November I put up this piece of art and it says, ”Hotels will put any old shit up and call it art’.

“And it’s signed on the back. I did it on Procreate, framed it, stuck it up there.”

Then as Robbie give the camera a thumbs up he adds: “We’ve come back and it’s still there. They haven’t mentioned it so I guess it’s gone unnoticed.”

German media put the star’s prank to the posh hotel but red-faced staff refused to comment.

A spokesperson would only say: “We respect the privacy of each of our guests, so we will not comment on this.”
