This footage shows two enraged drivers having a punch up in the middle of the road while waiting at the lights before they suddenly stop and one gets back into his car.

The incident, which witnesses said began after the pair vied for the same lane and one cut off the other, took place on the streets of Dongguan City in China’s southern province of Guangdong.

Mobile phone footage captured at the junction between Nancheng Road and Hongfu Road, shows the two male motorists having it out next to their cars as the vehicles are parked at a red light.

The men grab each other’s hair and flail their arms as they push and punch each other in the face in the dramatic road rage incident.

Several dozen pedestrians use the zebra crossing in front of their cars, but none appears to step in and try to intervene as the fight continues for about half a minute.

However, as the video ends, the pair suddenly stop fighting seemingly without reason.

The pair break apart and one climbs back into his car while the other fetches his glasses and walks away.

Dongguan police are not believed to have been called as the pair of them resolved their differences with the short-lived fistfight.

It was unclear at the time of writing whether either of them was seriously harmed during the dust-up.

Social media user ‘Shei ye Buxiaode Oushishei’ wrote: “That’s quite nice. They vent their emotions and everybody goes home up.”

‘Mouge Difang You Wode Xinyang’ added: “That de-escalated quickly!”
